What if...

What if...

What if we were wishing for the wrong things?

Dreaming, wishing, praying for our lives to change for the "better", a vast stretch of our life passes us by. Wishes and dreams that rarely come to reality, often pave the path to more, much bigger and much broader dreams. Dreams that would make the "better" life you live now, even more so. But, when was the last time you defined what's "better"?

"I wish I had more money"

"I wish I had a nicer car"

"I wish I had the latest tech"

"I wish I had more..."

More money, the more you get, the more you want more. Nicer car, only until a newer model comes along. Same goes for the latest tech. Where does it end? This line stretches to extraordinary lengths, leading me to believe none of these make life 'better' in any sense. Like how could this make sense? They feel more like a set of restraints to me, holding us stuck to a belief that these materialistic things can make us feel more alive or more at peace with our identity, make us feel 'better.'

What if, what if I tell you, you might have been wrong all this time? That everything you have been wishing for your entire life served you no purpose towards being 'better,' rather it willingly tightened your restraints. What if, what if rather than wishing for more, you wished for the absence of the feeling of the need for more? What if, what if you wished to be content with what you have and not feel the need for more in order to feel 'better'?

What if, what if I ask you a simple question...

"If you were locked in a cage, what would you wish for?

A warm meal and nicer clothes?

or a key to set you free? "

Think Bigger :)

I started my journey seeking more than the life around me. Meditation led me to productivity, but I craved deeper purpose and peace. Turning to philosophy, I founded Telosource to share my journey of finding meaning. Together, we’ll explore and grow into our telos.
